Colour mixing is something that we really enjoy. We mix our colours daily when we paint indoors but today we decided to get creative and take the paints outside. The children were trying to make water fireworks by connecting pipes to the pump and as a result the water exploded into the air. Then somebody suggested that we use the powder paints and put them into the pump to make them colourful. Then to our surprise we could see the colours that we added into the pipe mix together and a colourful firework came out. "Look, red and blue made purple!" "The blue and yellow paints made green!" Our stream looked so pretty and colourful at the end of the session. Great (and fun) way to find out what colours were created when other colours were mixed together.
